Aruvam (2019) Review

Aruvam (transl. Formless, Shapeless) is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language supernatural thriller film written and directed by Sai Sekhar. The film stars Siddharth and Catherine Tresa with Kabir Duhan Singh, Madhusudhan Rao, Sathish, Aadukalam Naren and Manobala in supportive roles.
Sai Thaman composed the film's soundtrack while cinematography and editing were handled by N. K. Ekambaram and Praveen K. L. respectively. Principal photography commenced on 13 July 2018.
Jyothi (Catherine Tresa) is introduced to us as a primary school teacher who does not have the sense of smell. She is inferior about her disorder and tries her best to help out the needy as her carelessness in childhood leads to her mother's death, which in turn changed her as a person.
We also get introduced to Jagannathan (Siddharth), who falls hook, line, and sinker for Jyothi at first sight. Jagan proposes his love for Jyothi on one side, while some murders take place in weird fashion in the city on the other.
It is later revealed that Jagan is a Food Safety Inspector, who is a staunch crusader against food adulteration happening in various food outlets in different parts of Tamil Nadu, ordering the closure of the outlets when he detects adulteration.
He is also shown to have a strong sense of smell. His crusade against food adulteration induces many enemies in his path, including his own higher officials in the Food Safety Department, who attack him. Jagan fights them, but gets mortally weakened, after which he decides to give up his life by falling off a train onto a banyan tree.
Jagan's soul then inhabitates Jyothi's body and she inadvertently murders the people who were responsible for food adulteration and Jagan's death.

Sherlock Holmes (2009) Review

Sherlock Holmes is a 2009 period riddle activity film dependent on the personality of a similar name made by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The movie was coordinated by Guy Ritchie and delivered by Joel Silver, Lionel Wigram, Susan Downey, and Dan Lin.

The screenplay, by Michael Robert Johnson, Anthony Peckham, and Simon Kinberg, was created from a story by Wigram and Johnson. Robert Downey Jr. what's more, Jude Law depict Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson, separately.

In 1890, flighty investigator Holmes and his buddy Watson are employed by a mystery society to thwart a mysticist's plot to deal with Britain by apparently heavenly methods. Rachel McAdams stars as their previous enemy Irene Adler and Mark Strong depicts miscreant Lord Henry Blackwood.

The film was broadly delivered in North America on 25 December 2009, and on 26 December 2009 in the UK, Ireland, the Pacific and the Atlantic.

Sherlock Holmes got generally sure basic response, with acclaim for its story, activity arrangements, set pieces, outfit configuration, Zimmer's melodic score, and Downey's presentation as the principle character, winning Downey the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy. The movie was likewise named for two Academy Awards, Best Original Score and Best Art Direction.

A spin-off, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, was delivered on 16 December 2011, with a third movie planned for discharge on 22 December 2021, to be coordinated by Dexter Fletcher.

Alien Warfare (2019) Review

A team of Navy Seals investigates a mysterious science outpost only to have to combat a squad of formidable alien soldiers.

David Meadows is a former Navy SEAL who became a classically-trained actor after he left the military.

Not a bad movie if your heavily medicated with medical marijuana.. Pretty good documentary:)

The Theory of Everything (2014) Review

The Theory of Everything is a 2014 biographical romantic drama film directed by James Marsh. Set at the University of Cambridge, it details the life of the theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking.

It was adapted by Anthony McCarten from the 2007 memoir Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen by Jane Hawking, which deals with her relationship with her ex-husband Stephen Hawking, his diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and his success in the field of physics.

The film stars Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, with Charlie Cox, Emily Watson, Simon McBurney, Christian McKay, Harry Lloyd, and David Thewlis featured in supporting roles. The film had its world premiere at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival on 7 September 2014. It had its UK premiere on 1 January 2015.

The film received positive reviews, with praise for the musical score, cinematography, and the performances of Jones and especially Redmayne.

The film garnered numerous accolades, including five Academy Award nominations: Best Picture, Best Actress (Jones), Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Score (Jóhannsson) and won Best Actor for Redmayne.

The film received ten British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) nominations, and won Outstanding British Film, Best Leading Actor for Redmayne, and Best Adapted Screenplay for McCarten.

It received four Golden Globe Award nominations, winning the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Drama for Redmayne, and Best Original Score for Jóhannsson. It also received three Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations, and won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for Redmayne.

Rim of the World (2019) Review

Rim of the World is a 2019 American science fiction adventure film directed by McG from a screenplay by Zack Stentz. It stars Jack Gore, Miya Cech, Benjamin Flores Jr. and Alessio Scalzotto.

The film, which was Stentz's modern take on the kid-centered action films of the 1980s, was streamed on Netflix on May 24, 2019.

It was the most watched content in the SVOD service in the UK the week it was released, overtaking the series Dead to Me and Riverdale.

Alex, a socially reclusive boy who recently lost his father in a fire, reluctantly attends a summer camp in southern California called "Rim of the World".

He meets two other "misfits" - Zhen Zhen, an orphan from China, and Dariush, an outspoken boy from a rich family. One afternoon, while in a lake, Zhen Zhen wanders off into the woods, looking for the lookout point she had seen on a camp poster, while Alex attempts to follow.

He comes across Dariush, who happens to be nearby answering the call of nature. Dariush mistakenly tries to 'cure' Alex's fear of heights by making him stand near a cliff edge, and Gabriel, a boy they hadn't seen at camp before, intervenes and helps stop Dariush from trying to 'cure' Alex's fear of heights. Zhen Zhen, hearing the commotion, comes back down and meets up with the boys.

At that moment, they all receive alarming texts advising they immediately evacuate the area.

Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (2015) Review

Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language mystery action-thriller film directed by Dibakar Banerjee and produced by Banerjee and Aditya Chopra.

The story is based on the fictional detective Byomkesh Bakshi created by the Bengali writer Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay.

The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Anand Tiwari, Neeraj Kabi and Swastika Mukherjee in principal roles.

It was released on 3 April 2015 to positive reviews from critics but it became a commercial failure. A sequel with Rajput reprising his role was planned.

The film begins in November 1942 in Calcutta, where a group of Chinese men from the Green Gang are smuggling opium from the docks. An unknown gang attacks them and one of them brutally blinds the Chinese gang's leader.

The Accountant (2016) Review

The Accountant is a 2016 American action-thriller film directed by Gavin O'Connor, written by Bill Dubuque and starring Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, J. K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Jeffrey Tambor, and John Lithgow.

The storyline follows Christian Wolff, a certified public accountant with high-functioning autism who makes his living uncooking the books of criminal and terrorist organizations around the world that are experiencing internal embezzlement.

The Accountant premiered in Los Angeles on October 10, 2016, and was theatrically released in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures on October 14, 2016. Receiving mixed reviews from critics, the film grossed $155 million worldwide. It received praise for the action sequences featuring Pencak silat, an Indonesian martial art.
